Balmaha Chalet Rooms

Balmaha is the gateway to the majestic east side of Loch Lomond. Just a few miles from Drymen the scenery opens up to great views of the Loch and hills beyond. Conic Hill above Balmaha is a popular viewpoint for visitors and walkers on the West Highland Way. For those of a less adventurous nature you can spend half an hour or so on the Balmaha Millennium Forest Trail, a short circular route through the forest.

Inchcailloch is one of the around 40 islands in Loch Lomond, and a Scottish Natural Heritage nature reserve. There is access to it by ferry from the Balmaha boatyard between March and September. On the island are some 2 miles of nature trail.

The Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority has a Centre at Balmaha with a countryside ranger available for advice on how to get the most from your stay. The Centre also has an exhibition, local information as well as a shop and toilets.

West Highland Way, Balmaha Chalet rooms on a room only basis. Available from £45 per night, sleeping two.
